Kohler wouldn't start talking about politics, and Jeremy never had a reason to bring it up.
The only problem is how much of the old shows is dedicated to virtual console releases in 2008, which are completely irrelevant

Retronauts is alright, but it used to be a lot better when they were at 1UP. Go watch the archived podcasts from 05-07, they're still fairly relevant considering the retro theme. 2008 is when it goes downhill like everything else (especially at 1UP), then it's merely fine for a few years.

It's still probably the best retro gaming podcast in town simply because there's not a lot of competition, it's still informative, and also slightly better organized than it was before. But it was better with the old atmosphere, with people like Scott Sharkey, Chris Kohler, Jenn Frank, James Mielke and Shane Bettenhausen making regular appearances.

Bob Mackey can be obnoxious, Ray Barnholt is often boring. They still bring a decent amount of knowledge to the table, but Parish needs strong personalities with a lot of personal experience to bounce off of instead of generic SA goons.
