There's a bunch of western groups like retromags, and several on internet archive. Then there's the Chinese forum where a single lady scans mecha books. She's responsible for like 90% of gundam books scanned in the last 6 years.

There's another type that's old Japanese scans. There's services in Japan that digitize magazine collections but because of copyright laws few are shared. The ones that do leak, leak over what's called "Perfect Dark" P2P program. These scans will stand out because they're kind of utliitarian in their scanning, with little touch up. they have low contrast and usually 50 MB file sizes. Pic related is an example.

These SS/PS books that have popped up in the last few years seem to be new and they're much more polished than the old Jap scans. they're all done in the same style (same file names, same order of where to put flaps, etc) that I think they're the same person or group. There might be a Chinese or baidu forum somewhere scanning these.
