Natsume just localizes the games in the U.S. The newer Kunio entries on DS and 3DS were made by Arc System Works with the involvement of the TJC staff.

/vr/ doesn't appreciate Technos beat-'em-ups as much as they should. I'm guessing it must be a millennial thing, since the first Double Dragon came out on the arcades in the mid 80s, while Double Dragon II and River City Ransom (the company's two most successful beat-'em-ups on console) were for the NES.
