I mostly played a shitton of Apogee's shareware games back in the day, even if I was partial to strategy because they felt like they had so much more depth. My kiddy brain with barely any capability to understand English during the early to mid 90s couldn't handle much from that genre

A few of the titles only I seem to care about:
-Bio Menace (PC, Apogee): solid platformer, mostly overshadowed by Duke Nukem
-Vinyl Goddes from Mars (PC): another very good platformer, maybe a bit repetitive but has really good music
-Wild 9 (PS1): another platformer by shiny, really creative character design
