I know there’s been a total conversion for Doom to turn into Zelda 1.

But how well could Doom itself translate into a Zelda style game or WAD?

The key hunt fits pretty well, puzzles are relatively easy to implement, and the weapon variety is there.

But how should the weapons be handled? Should they stay the same or be given different properties?

And potions would be akin to soul spheres, blur, and invuln of course, so would you just pick them up as inventory to use later?
