a while back I came across a youtube playlist where a video technician was giving a 101 course on CRT and the technology behind the screen. it was for workers at a casino for teaching them how the displays worked, and how to fix common issues after opening them up
I think it was a 4 part playlist and was shot in an event room at the actual casino. friendly guy gave a presentation with a whiteboard and a taken-apart monitor on a desk to demonstrate
the first part explained the electron gun and the refresh rate and was really interesting to learn about technically
can't find it anymore but i wonder if anyone here knows what i'm talking about and could share a link to it please

welcome. /vr/ is a good board. Just try not to troll too hard with the PS2/XBOX/GC/PC(~2007) games and you'll be good.
It's also kinda slow but that's part of it's charm
