What's the best Sector Light Mode for OpenGL?

>GZDoom
>Fog Based
>Shaders

and what looks better, OpenGL or the software renderer? I wasn't able to see much of a difference between 8bit and 32bit software rendered though

So I'm playing DOOM for the first time (Yeah I know, zoomer etc etc).

I'm using mouse look and more familiar WASD controls with GZDoom and the OP's doom_complete WAD.

I just wanted to ask - is the AI just terribly ill-equipped to deal with mouse-look players? Because I'm running circles around these guys, literally (Always Run is on, with Shift to walk when I need precision movement).

Would ramping up the difficulty from Ultra-Violence to NIGHTMARE! make things slightly more fair for the AI?
