I think the US got it renamed as Lightening Force (not Lightning). At that early time in the Genesis lifecycle, the games tended to be a bit homogenized to shooting games, and the few people who had the system were clamoring for a more diverse library of games.

Just like >>4014185 did with Valis 3, here's 'Murrica's Alisia.

I'd rather the Japanese version.

Sometimes it's just based around the artist's reference images. It was the days before accessible consumer internet was widely available for an image search.

There's good and bad across the board for all systems. Hard to say best. I know worst would be something like the US Master System. Very difficult to choose best since there's so much great stuff out there.

I am grateful for your appreciation. I just figure to make use of the image part of an image board. I too am not on 4chan often due to work, but it is nice spending some down time here in /vr/

That is some true dedication. I too had the feeling to send some funds to those that support/publish good games, but I have no illusions that it'll do much good since it is a niche game. I do love a lot of oddball games, and I am glad to read others do too.

It is pretty cute. However, some Japanese may be useful in order to play. https://youtu.be/_4XPe8TtXEE

This makes me sad I am unable to afford the equipment to enjoy the game at this time.

I guess it is all Korea and China these days to fund the development of strange games. Even this Korean portable had Princess Maker 2 (may be dated auction): http://www.ebay.com/itm/281552191548
