I like and appreciate a lot of things about Gen 5 but like half of its Dex is literally just ripoffs of pre-established Pokemon or continued examples of Dex tropes such as Route 1 Rodent and Birb that kinda suck. Gen 5 has some good mon designs but I feel like they should have moved to the smaller numbers of Gen 6 sooner and/or just started doing regional forms earlier instead of making ripoff mons
