I don't have a problem with liking VI, I have a problem with people putting it on any sort of pedestal. The way its compared to VII is also try-hard devestation. People like to think its how people see a divide in how LttP and OoT are, its not. VI deserves to be in its position because some circlejerkers out there conveted its mainstream popularity.
You know how most people would feel about XIII being hailed the greatest FF?
Multiply that feeling, its exactly how I feel about VI, but people don't want to play pretend about XIII for some reason.

Anyways, everything good came of the 90s. I have no nostalgia for the 80s, but god damn, the 90s. Better games, less handholding, better anime/manga, etc. There are a few exceptions, and there have been some progression in other areas, but its specifically the things I enjoyed as a teenager that have remained awesome. I used to chalk this up to

but then I realized shit I thought sucked when I was young still sucks now, so that was bullshit.

Hell fucking no its not. Every 360 game and PS3 game I own is not worth more than $20 now. 90% of my ps1 collection is worth more than $15 per game on a -bad- day, so thats bullshit.

Generally this, I hate the term "gamer" whatever. I don't play exclusively "retro", however, I'm in a mode now where I want to replay many of the 90s classics I loved and try all the things I missed out on due to not having a disposable income.
