Cloak of Balduran, how is that even a question
Can be worn with the helm and ring of protection +2 for total +4 save vs. spell and great total AC bonuses, to say nothing of the 25 MR
Saves vs death, breath and wand are pretty much useless in BG1, and although the +4 AC bonus vs missile is alright, there are two other items that give +3 and 5 and won't compete with the cloak of balduran for a slot
