I didn't say that. What I did say was that it doesn't deserve to be in the top 10 worst controllers category, and it deserves a pass for being an experiment. I mean, come on. There are far worse controllers out there. It's not like it was uncomfortable, or had poor button placement, or broke easily.

You say that like Nintendo should've taken cues from similar controllers that didn't exist. There was no design standard at the time, and it wasn't unintuitive or uncomfortable, so how could you possibly call it poorly designed? That doesn't even make sense.
