Bob and George was originally going to be a hand-drawn superhero webcomic, but the author realized that he couldn't draw for shit, so he let the Megaman sprite comics he'd been using as filter become the main content of the comic, which would run for the next 7 years, becoming one of the first popular sprite comics along with 8-bit Theatre in the early 2000s.

Hell, the dumbass "Cataclysm" theory of Zero killing the whole cast of Classic Megaman was originally an event story in this comic.
