That’s what this is, but even on a 4K Sony TV, it doesn’t look the best. Decent, but that HDMI mod sounds like a good upgrade to me. I also wouldn’t mind a retrotink device, if the good ones weren’t so expensive.

Hope you liked it, one of the few games that doesn’t feel like a chore to 100% complete. Ever since I saw the first game at a target on launch and my dad got it for me, I loved the series. Jak II was the first time I ever heard a video game character swear lmao.

My 4K Sony set has component input, is it really that rare on modern displays? I paid a decent amount for this just a few years ago.

You all might be able to help me here. Am I a blind piece of shit, or does my TV actually handle 480p to 4K somewhat decently in pic related? I’m wanting to get an upscaler of some sort, but I’ve been relatively happy with the image so far. Obviously I can see the jaggies, but it’s THAT bad, is it?

It’s one of my favorite series on PS2, and I don’t think that it sold too poorly either. It’s kind of odd that it never got sequels in later systems. If I had to guess, it’s probably because they had no idea what to do with the series. Jak & Daxter has suffered from an identity crisis ever since it tried to capitalize on the GTA trend with Jak II. They probably didn’t know where to go next after the racing game. I still play through them every now and then on ps2. Jak x requires its own memory card due to save breaking bugs, so it really helps to have the disc for that one.

Games look surprisingly good on modern TVs with component too. I do wish I could get an upscaler of some sort, though.
