I looked at it, but I don't know much about Doom, I was more of a Quake-HL1 guy. Was going to have the player play as a demonica soldier, demons would either be mobs in game or function as weapons when "equipped" by the player -- using one would simply use an ability innate to that demon, or give a passive ability based on which one it is (Such as an HP bonus or Void Fire, etc). Defeated demons would have a chance to surrender instead and join you, sort of dropping like a world item.

Of course, I think a lot of people would just be fine with replacing the base demons in doom with SMT ones.

I had an idea for a Doom wad. What sort of knowledge would I need to work on a weapon or monster AI mod? Is there Doom C like Quake C, or is it just in scripts, or will I need to know actual C?
