Even though it was a bit of a pokemon clone the monster fusion mechanic was really interesting and I wish something like this was more commonly done with modern technology.

This is probably the best "I want to play a Pokemon style game but I'm sick of replaying Pokemon for the 100th time" game to play. Really cool visuals.
