/vr/ - Retro Games

Never played these games as a kid so there's no nostalgia here. Checking them out now. 1 (superior Japanese version) is already very fun and I hear 2 is even better.

The consensus seems to be they're mediocre or shit but I suspect that's partly because they were linear, traditional platformers on a console that treated open world collectathons as the "next generation".

Easy to complete, but clearly the kind of game where you're supposed to replay the levels and improve your run; the way they shove time attack high scores into your face constantly makes it pretty obvious. And the tongue mechanics make replaying levels fun.
