Yes. Most everyone I knew beat all of their games. Video games were new and parents saw them as incredibly expensive as compared to a action figure, board game, or lego set. I only knew 1 person who had more than 10 games total. This included plenty of rich kids as well. I feel like now you can beat a game in a long weekend. Previously games were made to be played for about a half a year before all the enjoyment was gone.
