Not a contradiction, besides not being true. There are unique textures everywhere. Takes two minutes to verify with Dolphin

That's what you have? Explains why you can't see the variety in that picture compared to most games in terms of tone, color palette, atmosphere, worldbuilding. Both N64 Zeldas range from Sunday-morning cartoon to Raccoon City but all in their own unique style

It's a Zelda so it's automatically top 1% action adventures, which, at least in theory, is the coolest genre there is

Is it flawed (mostly due to time constraints) and a bit overhyped by contrarian neckbeards online? Yes. It's not nearly as "epic" or flawless as Ocarina, but it also doesn't really try to be

This will sound retarded but my biggest gripe with MM was that I couldn't make heads or tails of how every character looks like in Ocarina, how Link isn't weirded out by it or how Nintendo just expects us to believe half a day's march from Hyrule there is another town and all the people coincidentally look and behave the same

Guess what? I somehow missed it's literally a parallel world. That's the one thing it needed for me to see it as a timeless classic maybe on a level with Ocarina
