Whats the difference between the .50 gastrointestinal and the .50 action elite?
They're both auto cartridges carrying the same bullet pretty much. But the gastrointestinal only hits for 1/3 the firepower.

Maybe if you split the difference between them you get 2/3rds the firepower. Which is like a .44 magnum and I think would be well worth it.

You're also dreadfully underestimating the effectiveness of the stability of heavy bullets being compensated with a ladder/flip up sight. The 40mm grenade launcher system depends on this because if you thought a .45 had a rainbow trajectory a 40mm has the trajectory of a golf ball.

Hence the reason old fashioned .45-70 rifles had that sorta setup.
The 9x39mm VSS system is the same way, getting 300 yards out of a subsonic bullet. But thats because the scope has drop increments listed on it.


As the UAC if you're 3d printing your own magazines, and guns for that matter, and you've got an in-house armourer or defense contractor loading up all your ammo there's no problem getting .50 AE brass and trimming them down to 28mm case length and loading them up.

Also why do you need a DMR or Railgun when you can just lob a single rocket with over a mile's worth of thrust available for it. Thats what soldiers use to take out snipers when they're desperate anyway.
