I think people prefer the Marvel games on Playstation over the Saturn because the load times are shorter. Eventually consoles got more powerful than the Saturn too which had newer versions that people like to play the game on as well. These days the FPGA implementations may be the choice method.

I'm not familiar with the person. They are all anonymous posts to me from my basic user level.

I remember thinking Sakura got cuter with her deeper more gruff voice in the CVS games.

Understandable, but that load does affect gameplay to me since I tend to main charge characters.

The MSU-1 chip is amazing. I know it can run full FMV games better on the SNES than even the disc based systems since the loading is much faster with it.

It was around 95/96 when I was at the location tests. Which was a bit odd since there was a Capcom owned arcade in the area, but they opted to perform at this other non-Capcom owned arcade. At the time, everyone knew of it and it was a popular feature there. On its first weekend there were survey fliers, but the following two weeks it was just there to play before the cabinet was taken away. I have played a few games prior to official release and I did visit some trade shows back then. I did play Megaman X at a trade show, amongst many other games. I remember an early build of Streets of Rage 2 which did not have the forward-foward-attack and had no enemies, the scrolling stopped at the first wall where in the final game you'd work down and to the right, so my cousin and I just attacked each other. I had built great memories of those few trade shows I did go to, and could continue mentioning all other stories, but I will say I did mention in a confession thread here once that I felt extremely remorseful for unknowingly responsible for a bad trend in video game covers of a singular male looking badass on videogame covers. That's a whole 'nother story, amongst many.

There are so many options to play the game. Fortunately, it is one of the widely available titles for cheap on Japanese Sega Saturn, so it remains inexpensive.

I've played a lot of the game and just speaking from experience. I am not a tournament player, but I play a bit with friends and I do alright. A2 Zangief does have good tools, but when it comes time to play seriously, no one would opt to use the character. His normals are pretty good, I think Evil Ryu has a longer range in blowing out a character on CC activation, everyone has damaging CCs but Rolento has one of the easiest to do and much higher damage as even in my messups in the video can still demonstrate, no arguments about the lariat nor command grabs but as stated earlier Zangief will eat damage all day and only a rare theoretical breed of person would use the character in such oppressive and unfavorable conditions.

Nope, never. None of my friends play grapplers, no one plays them in the arcades I've been to, only recently in more modern games are there viable grappler play (aside from Damdai's T.Hawk in ST).

I think that is like the placebo effect of the N64 expansion pack made my friends believe No Mercy runs better with the added RAM than with the standard jumper pack. The collection has Z2A/A2G instead of standard Z2/A2 which has the negative effects to playing. For a real fun collection, try out the games on PS2, you can have a IZM where you parry, which is a disappointment that it is not included in the most recent announcement for Capcom fighting games: https://youtu.be/zfKIsLJ0m0w

It does offer some character variety and more for a player to adjust to. With the izm/grooves, in a small circle of friends can make it a different game if all agree to play it like one izm/groove only. I prefer the Z-groove, but when my friends and I all agree to go X-ism only, it is like playing a sort of Super Turbo.

Don't forget about the unlockable one in the anthologies which allows for parrying: https://youtu.be/zfKIsLJ0m0w

I main a C-groove Sagat/Blanka/Dictator. Both Sagat and Blanka are great in any groove to me.

That is artwork for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo which they used as the cover art for the collection which had SSF2T/X bundled with A2G/Z2A on Playstation+Saturn. I do not think they made any art specific to the Gold/Z2A release, it would have just been more art they made for A2/Z2. In fact, Cammy is not even in the arcade A2Z/Z2A and was a console exclusive added character, even in that version they added even more content exclusively to Cammy, so they probably chose a picture that also featured her. Her character portrait in A2G/Z2A didn't even match the style, as it was art from X-men Vs. Street Fighter. Doesn't matter as much to me, as the balance in A2G/Z2A was the wrong approach and left the original A2/Z2 as more balanced and fun to play, and Cammy is garbage tier in the game down there with the likes of Birdie, Gen, and Zangief (even among those 4, she may bottom out with a very poor custom/original combo damage output, but I've not played her enough to definitively say so, she matches Dan with what I assess to be the same amount of critical failure 2:8 matchups).

Capcom Generation 5, which has the first 3 iterations of Street Fighter 2. From World Warrior, to ' (dash opposed to prime) or Championship Edition, to Hyper Fighting/Turbo. I like how it uses the techniques they learned from the 4MB cart games of the Vs series, where the loading screens are the character portrait vs. splash screen. I wish they did that for the other titles. The resolution on Generation 5 is very close to the arcade, much better than the SNES home releases.
