Modoc has always been my favourite place in Fallout 2. Such a peaceful, laid-back and welcoming place especially compared to the towns you visit before it, Klamath and the Den, where everyone either tried to kill you or fuck you over.

Its theme adds a lot to the sleepy atmosphere

I love this town so much that when Fallout: New Vegas came out I roleplayed as a Neutral Good cattle herder from Modoc whose favorite pastimes included listening to country music and tackling Brahmins.
