I've noticed this effect on the gbp screen before, not sure if ghosting is the right term. you should take comparison pics of a photograph with black and white frames to see if it makes much of a difference (I doubt it).

I try to keep my filter settings close to the natural look of a gbp screen, as >>5754347 demonstrates, the dark and sometimes murky look adds a lot to the atmosphere of the shots.
