Mr. Sandman had been my filter for something like a decade or more until earlier this year, when I sat down one day, determined to once and for all figure out his pattern and beat him, until I finally did. I went on to fight Super Macho Man right afterwards, and I had very little trouble with him. Now there's only the big Mike himself, and I'm getting my shit pushed on.

He's a reskinned Mike Tyson, and the original game made sure to make Mike Tyson, their final boss, a total fucking titan, true to life. You're facing the best of the best, this is man who had an unbroken winning streak against over 30 other elite boxers who were seriously tough and talented.

The licensing agreement between Nintendo and Mike Tyson ran out and they didn't negotiate new one (probably owing to his waning glory and growing controversy), so when they wanted to make and sell more copies of the popular Punch-Out!!, they replaced him with a fictional character and removed his name from the title.
Same game otherwise, but not quite as special and charming.
