I tried giving the Legacy of Kain series a shot because of how it's talked about on /v/, and the first game fucking blows.

Would I be missing anything if I dropped Blood Omen and went straight to Soul Reaver?

Am I missing out by not playing this game? I started with Soul Reaver when I was young, and I really like all the others, but I just can't seem to get into this one.
