And for Ultima 6, I agree to an extent; I still think it's a lot of fun to wander off and get lost in that game, but I can't see myself exploring every nook and cranny because it was one of the first open world, high interactivity games and compared to everything after it a lot of areas seem boring.

Ultima 7, which is a lot denser in terms of content and has a fuck ton of things you can do and interact with in the game world for no reason, holds up a lot better in my opinion. And the game world is smaller than U6 but still fucking huge, I'm playing that game casually right now, been playing for a couple of weeks and it still feels like there's loads out there I haven't seen and something new around every corner.
