I think it's actually a mix of the two because the eyes are clearly drawn on but I don't know if that is because it was drawn on the clay or because it was simply an illustration addition.
While the blue red eyed guy is clearly drawn but the bugs and flowers look like clay.

The devs said they were planning to have game saves via battery backup, but Tradewest refused as it would raise cartridge costs..

>movement options are simple and lacking in depth compared to Mario/Sonic
>unsatisfying attacks
>camera is a too close and trails the player, making it hard to see what's ahead of you
>Fleapit levels are a dumpster fire
>Legacy Island is a cute idea, but it kills the pacing by essentially being 8 more Cotton Island levels
>no save system what the fuck
>warp zones are mostly too difficult to be worth using, often "warping" you one level ahead
>no cohesion to the character design, which is partly why all the webcomic's new characters are from other games.

Surprised nobody added this nor Clay Fighters yet.
