/vr/ I wish to play Earthbound uncensored, just for fun. But I can't read moon so I figured a fan patch was the best way to go. Then I realized there are strangely a ton of patches that do this.

Is this the best one?

So /vr/, I've been running into an odd problem and my Google Fu is failing me. Basically, I'm looking to sell my copy of Earthbound, but I can't delete any of the save files.

When I go to delete them from the game selection screen, I hit delete and it blinks and then just displays the files like normal. It doesn't actually delete 'em.

Anyone ran into a similar problem before and know of any fixes? It'll be impossible for me to sell it otherwise, since all three slots are used.

Recently decided to start playing a lot of the past classics that I passed up when I was younger due to being a pennyless scrub. Currently playing through Earthbound for the first time and loving it so much.

So Earthbound thread and if anyone can give me some games I should check out? Currently have the mother games, chrono trigger, and final fantasy VI.

So /vr/, I have a free-time and a very large library of SNES roms, what games you think that are entertaining and obligatory to play?

Admit it, you all thought Ness was going to pilot a giant robot at some point in the game.

So /vr/ I downloaded a pack of roms froms SNES to start finishing games that I started being a teen, but I was too lazy to complete them. Already completed Whirlo and DKC2 (the first one was pretty challenging and the second its just a masterpiece) and i'm starting this motherfucker. So far, the soundtrack its just the best thing, and everything else its above from average , but what I should be expecting next? I just beated the first "Your Sanctuary" Location, its gonna get any good /vr/?

Hey /vr/
So, I played this game about 15 years ago and never really got into it. Funny because it was at the time I was mad on JRPGS and was playing the hell out of them on the SNES. It was the year I played Chrono Trigger and FF6 but despite my fervour for the genre I didn't get into Earthbound.
I hear a lot about it, and now I can play it on my android with a controller and I really to see what all the fuss is about.
Problem is I don't have a lot of time and if something doesn't grab me quickly I will move on. Seeing as I didn't get it when I was at the peak of JRPG love, how should I approach this game /vr/?

Not OP but this is a good thread to ask this in: Why exactly is Earthbound so expensive? Is it rare? On the Wikipedia page it says nothing about how rare it is or why it's so expensive, so what's the reason why it's so much damn money?

So what does /vr/ think about Earthbound?

It's by no means perfect, but I still love its colorful graphics, quirky game design, and funny writing.

Anyone else think it's weird that Ness attacks with a bat? I know it's supposed to make him seem like a normal kid, but just imagine him whacking stuff with a bat, beating creatures dead with it. It seems very violent.

Is it strange if I think this game is extremely difficult? I'm shocked at how strong the enemies are and how much I'm dying. Even when going into an area full health, it only takes one or two normal encounters to wipe it all out. I've heard people say this game is easy, and that just blows my mind, the enemies in this game are so powerful. I find that I have to grind several levels just to have a chance.

Well I am playing on an emulator, and I've heard rumors that emulated versions are harder for some reason, but honestly, I don't know. I think I just have the normal game.
