i'll tell you the same, get used to retroarch.
change the ui to ozone and use a frontend to launch games like >>7240840.
with retroarch the sheer amount of supported systems and standardized options for everything really takes away a lot of work.

i can't imagine going to back to a lot of standalone emulators or ones without basic features, but there's a handful of systems I haven't moved to retroarch due to compatibility issues.
