For sure. MGS2 has godly gameplay music. The various sneaking themes for the different struts are also fantastic

I fucking love the Big Shell, man. It makes me sad how underrated it is, fans seem pretty much in unanimous agreement that it is "boring" but that couldn't be further from the truth. Aesthetically it looks so sharp and clean, the futuristic look of it and the way you navigate it, the metroidvania-like progression feels so organic. The whole issue of backtracking is a contentious topic with Metal Gear, but aside from the big offense like the PAL key, I actually love it, I love how MGS1 and 2 really forces you to become familiar with the setting, makes the place seem that much more real, gives everything more weight when things do start going to hell, you couldn't really have had a moment like the Arsenal Gear reveal if that just happened in some barely tangential location.

MGS3 is a little too linear for its own good, that game is literally walking in a straight line for the most part, thankfully it forces the player to spend some real time in Grozny Grad before the big climax but I must say I much prefer the way MGS1 and 2 progress to it.
