What was Sony thinking?

Okay, so if I wanted to create a "Naoh's Ark" of sorts for retro games, what equipment would I need? I assume tons of storage space for all of the games, around 3 terabytes in total perhaps? I plan to use the Wii for pretty much everything Nintendo and pretty much most of the shit it can reasonably emulate. I assume softmodding my PS3 would be the best bet for playing PS1 games. What should I do for machines like the Saturn and Dreamcast?
