I've always wanted to get into retro video game collecting, but I was never able to build up a collection as a kid for various reasons that'd devolve into Blogshit. But now I've reached a point where I feel I can finally start building a collection, since I've reached a point where I know I can maintain said collection safely, but also have the resources to afford them now, and I think I'd like to start with building an Nintendo 64 one first. Though what I want to ask is, is there any guide, or general tips to start collecting fresh? Like, how to go about buying, where to import, games to get/avoid, how to keep your collection safe and good, and where to find them in the best possible condition? I want to do this right, so if there are any guides, or tips you guys have, I'd love to hear them.

Also side question, is the N64 region free? I've always wondered that.
