Why is Freedoom so intent on making everything thematically different from the original Doom instead of just making it the same?
I mean, I don't know why Barons can't just be big satyrs that shoot fireballs instead of being whatever this is supposed to be.
Or why Revenants have to be black goblins.

Hell, I'm surprised Freedoom isn't done yet. I see things like R667 and it's obvious that the Doom modding community is full of people who can do good spritework that closely matches the artstyle of the original games. And yet Freedoom enemies look like they've been cut and pasted out of JPGs.
