I once saw a JVC X'Eye inside of a dirty cardboard box along with a bunch of random old electronics shit at a flea market, maybe something like 15 years ago. I was mildly curious about it, but I had absolutely no idea what it was at the time, assumed it was yet another failed 4th/5th generation console akin to the CD-i that I'd never heard of, and left it alone.

Obviously now I wish I had picked it up, but in my defense, the damn thing is unassuming as fuck and does nothing to advertise that it is a Genesis/Sega CD hybrid console.

If you've played the GBA version and went through the Dragon's Den, Red Dragon here is very similar. He makes himself invincible and you have no choice but to simply survive his onslaught until he dies of his own accord. As such, you can do little more than slap on as much Magic Defense boosting equips as you can, then begin the battle by casting as many buffs as possible (PuPu, Kirin and Golem are key here, with Seraph for healing), as well as casting Slow on him so you actually have time to heal between attacks. He'll end the fight casting two Flares, so as long as you have three characters left alive, you're good. I made it with a barely-alive Terra.
