I don't think it will be the same for them because those games will not be the same leap over what was out previously.

When I played Super Mario 64 for the first time I had a hard time adjusting to the 3d game world because my brain literally did not understand it that well yet. I would get lost in Bob-omb Battlefield. A kid who is playing today won't have that problem because they've probably already played a PS3 or an Xbox 360 with very similar games.

I used to stare at the images in the issue of Nintendo Power where the N64 was unveiled at Nintendo Space World of that year and just wonder.

I totally bought into the marketing hype for the system at the time as well (come on, I was 12). I really thought the N64 was the most powerful home computer you could buy.

Early 3D games (especially old betas) creep me out for some reason
