If shooters that are akin to games like doom and quake are boomer shooters and contemporary post 2007 games like call of duty and battlefield and the like are modern shooters...
Then what do we call those shooters that came in between that like half-life, FEAR and return to castle wolfenstein, which have old school things like no weapon limits and medkits, but also modern things like linear level design and weapon reloading?

Its going pretty cheap on GOG, is it as good as shit like HL1?

And is there an open source wrapper for it that makes it better on modern hardware?

First time playthrough. Just blew up a V2 rocket aimed at London. What do I think of it?

God I hate Xatrix so much. Don't even try to tell me you can circle strafe to avoid this bullshit or some other nonsense that only "works" 1/10th of the time.
