just do it when you see new magics, don't go full autistic about drawing 100 of every magic. GFs should provide refining abilities that provide a more effective way of getting magic.

because well junctioned melee is easily more powerful than magic, specially at higher levels, and drawcasting magic is random as far as magic power goes.

get more GFs, unlock their junction abilities

You missed a few. Most are optional in one sense. For starters, and save your game first, check if you have the magic lamp in your item inventory, then use it. You have Brothers, right? (finishing the dungeon where you get the ID number to get to Deling's mansion). Many GFs can only be gotten by drawing from a boss; so far, you should've gotten Siren (drawn from Elvoret). If you're about to attempt the assassination, when you fight the two gargoyles, draw the carbuncle GF from them.

Just keep playing. The plot will get worse. Just enjoy the comfy scenery and the music.

Why did FF8 devs hate Quistis? they used every opportunity to drag her through the mud, and she never got redemption. Also the only one of the playable cast that ends up alone (the original femcel?)
