>Bits Laboratory
For a second I thought them and BITS Studios were the same thing, it's incredible how such a simple name can be so cursed.

I think they're both called Bits because they tear your sanity to bits.

>its sequel's irredeemable though, fuck TASM 3.
I love how the ending perfectly describes the whole thing, and the feeling of beating it too.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers (1993/Game Boy)
I gave this one a shot because I genuinely liked the 2nd one, it was a simply MetroidVania title on the Game Boy, short, but fun to figure out, it also felt good enough to control Spider-Man and use his powers, but this? It's rough... the whole MetroidVania structure was dropped, though its fine, despite the fact I liked it, but the main issue here is that the level design is horrible and the control is 10x worse, the end cutscene (I saw it on YouTube because I couldn't be bothered) just sums it up perfectly how I felt playing this, and how most players must feel beating it, it's a good ending, appropriate at least.

>Spidey vs the Spidey Slayers on game boy
This.
I think that what upset me the most when I went ahead to play this one... is that I actually liked the 1st and 2nd Spider-Man titles on Game Boy... so I had decent expectation, but for some reason it's like they forgot how to make a video game from one title to the next. Bits Studios ditched the 2nd installment's MetroidVania style, which I liked, to go for a level to level style, which is fine, but the levels are not well designed, nor fun... especially thanks to the controls. I know most people think that Spider-Man controls poorly in all Game Boy titles, but I swear none of them were this awful.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers (1993/DMG)
I've never played a video game with an ending that so perfectly captures the players' feelings

I think I've never played a video game where the ending so perfectly describes my own feelings, I genuinely burst out laughing the 1st time I seen it because it was so appropriate, the ending was already bad anyways, literally just a single frame of Spider-Man's face, the same frame used for all other cutscenes in the whole thing, which would already be lazy and underwhelming enough, but this dialogue... I mean, they knew what they had made here, and how bad it was, this is how all of the players who bought this back in the day and finished it somehow, or masochists like me who tried it out nowadays due to curiosity, felt here.

It's so weird that this one was so bad though, it's a licensed title published by LJN, which I know is a major red flag, but the 1st installment, made by Rare, was a competent sidescrolling beat 'em up for the time and hardware, and the 2nd one, that was made by Bits Studios, who also made the 3rd one, was a surprisingly decent MetroidVania, it's odd how this one scrapped that formula, despite it working quite well for the character last time. I wouldn't mind going back to a level to level style though, it also works just fine for an IP like this, I just can't forgive the awful control this one has, I felt like I was fighting the controls all of the time.

I'm not going to say the 1st installment by Rare controlled particularly well... but it worked. I'm not going to say the 2nd installment controlled all that well either... but it also worked, jumping felt fine and Spider-Man's weight and response in that wasn't an issue, did Bits Studios forget how to make proper control from one year to another or something? Anyways, I don't even know why I decided to post this, maybe this can be a general Spider-Man thread, or a funny/bad endings one, maybe even a bad controls thread, I don't know, I just though this ending was funny and wanted to share my pain... what a disappointing sequel.
