You don't like the dialogue? that's some of the best part of the game! From Tiny acknowledging he speaks in incomplete sentences, to the hero dropping a reference to a cheesy B-movie he's seen every 10 minutes, there's so many great, funny lines.

I'm looking for recommendations for games that are similar to Secret of Evermore and Secret of Mana. 8 and 16 bit consoles preferably.

Also, general action RPG thread I guess.

Obscure sidequests, grinding and boring map puzzles: the game.
I played it back in 1998-99 from a SNES ROM CD a friend gave me. The worst thing is that the ROM crashed just when you beat the robo-butler so I don´t know how it ends.
I tried to play it again on a PSP like 2 years ago, but after all the market shit from Antiqua, and the dog labyrinth from Gothica I just abandoned it of absolute boredom.

Can we please have a thread about how amazing this game is? I see Secret of Mana stuff all the time, but rarely do I ever see Secret of Evermore threads?
I freaking love this game, and I know it's easy to break the game and cheese everything, but I just love it! It's probably nostalgia goggles, but I can't get over it. I recently played the game with the 2-player mod with a friend that isn't very into retro vidya, and he loved it.
