Besides, when people say the saturn d-pad isn't as good for certain platformers it's kinda bullshit.
I think they say that because they feel that when you're holding a direction it's "wobbly" and you could end up sliding diagonally towards up or down, and switching directions very fast exacerbates this issue.

But maybe they could try...just getting gud with the controller?
Because once you play using this thing a lot any imprecision or feeling of uncertainty vanishes completely and all that remains is a solid as fuck d-pad that doesn't hurt your thumb no matter what you're trying to do.
I've never encountered a platformer that was hurt by trying to use this d-pad to play it.
Not one.
Yes you can use a SNESN/DS, and they work fine, but i just don't understand where this meme of the saturn not being just as good when it comes to platformers comes from.
It's absolutely just as good, just takes some getting used to.
