The frame that it loads back is burned into my mind forever, just thinking about it makes me sad again.
The end fight is worse by far, but that quicksave fiasco makes me triple check if I'm pressing load instead of save in every game 20 years and counting.

Played the original arcade Twinbee today. I love it until I get hit once and then it's a miserable slog at the slowest movement speed I've ever felt in a shmup. If base speed was just a little higher I could deal but jesus christ.
