I have trouble identifying gouraud shading. I bet you I would make a fool of myself if I tried to find examples from video games. I can tell you why the ubiquitous pixel art is popular though- it's the easy solution for lazy developers and requires no cohesive art direction beyond lol pixel art.

Legends series was the peak of the Mega Man franchise. Once they canceled 3 I stopped liking Mega Man. I don't like Battle Network and I hate X for being shit for transsexual jannies who grew up on casshern.

The Legends series was peak Mega Man deal with the carbons vs the robots and how they manage to survive in the world. Once the franchise abandons Volnutt & Roll, and don't say X is in any way the same one, it's just not Mega Man anymore to me.
