Is there a way to access the service menu with just buttons or do I need to hunt down a remote? I have access to phones with IR sensors, if there are any apps with the right buttons I might be able to download one.

Well I hope moving the H/V position will fix some of it. The convergence is only really bad in the top left and bottom right corners. Way better than my last trinitron at least. Taking apart this TV sounds like a really big hassle. There's definitely no convergence fixing in the service menu right? I've seen other TVs have beam adjustment in basic menus.
