/vr/ - Retro Games

Probably a retarded question, but does the size of a crt effect the quality of the image depending on the system/games being played on it? I picked up this little sucker from side of a road and its much smaller then the sets i usually use and i swear to god something about it makes nes games look fucking fantastic on it, at least to me. My only theory is I've been playing on tvs too big that stretch out the image or some shit? Idk, all i know is its making me consider switching over to smaller sets now, or at least for anything 2D/pre 5th gen.
