These two are from, maybe 2006/7/8

>Live in the UK
>My area had some weird independent video game shop, as well as a Gamestation. (both are gone ;_;)
>The gamestation was a subsidiary of Game
>It used to get all the stuff Game didn't want (usually PS2, Xbox, GC, GBA, DC etc)
>Sometimes there would be old stuff like LOZ for the original Nes, or Super Mario
>Nothing amazing, but I never jumped on it.
>Used to have Dreamcast games for cheap, (seriously deals like 3 for £2 and stuff, things like Sonic, Incoming, Head Hunter, House of the Dead)
>Used to have original PS1 games, N64 and sometimes SNES.
>Never used to buy them because I was retarded, I used to skim through them but nothing else.
>Whenever I did see a game, my brother would convince me not to buy it.
>I nearly bought OOT for the N64, but he said not to.
>Now it's gone, and I could've bought all that retro shit.

Also, as for the independent vidya game shop (I'll call it Vidya shop)

>Vidya Shop was pretty close
>Used to have pretty decent old games behind the counter
>No ebay prices for them
>Mario 64 (£5.99)
>Pokemon Stadium (£7.99)
>used to have SNES, NES, PS1's, Dreamcast's and more as well as their games.
>Never bought any
>It closed down due to them not paying rent on the building.
>They just opened up a shop in the same place as before
>It's some shitty corner shop which we have 50 of already

Oh, and the one that pisses me off the most, but I was about 11 at the time so I didn't know.

>Going down to the supermarket on a bus
>Pass by a charity shop on the way there
>Complete NES in box, original action set version
>£20
>I knew what a NES was, but I thought I could get one anywhere
>Also I knew my mum wouldn't want to dish out £20 for it
>It was gone the next day

I should've jumped on it, also my mum would've bought it, she once bought me a Super Mario Gameboy bundle set from a charity shop for £10 or so.

If that ever happened to me, I would probably always remember it whenever I play the game, I'm sort of happy no one I know has died, apart from my grandparents who died over 10 years ago.

Still, I remember someone telling me about a similar story, but I can't remember exactly what happened.

OP, what the fuck? Seiken Densetsu is amazing. I just replayed it recently and the music from the final level still gives me chills and the ending still makes me tear a surprising amount. It makes me so sad Square will never be as incredible again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdIoDgURbvw&feature=share&list=PL98DFC217FF41E711
