I'd like a mod for (Not Brutal) Doom that lets me summon Doom Marines or something similar that will follow me around in a level and help with enemies on slaughter maps. Brothers in Arms achieves the general idea but for some reason the author put all that work into it and balanced it like dogshit. The individual units in that one are really overpowered and can practically take on an entire level by themselves.

The closest I've found to a fully featured version of this are those Deltarune characters but Undertale is cringe so I'd like something that's more lore friendly to Doom.

Really surprised I haven't been able to find more companion mods like this. Any suggestions?
