>lol the "drill holes in your consoles" guy is back with shitty mod advice.
>Stay clean. Use SCART.

>I'm ascared of drilling holes and might mess up
This is why I used the word 'pussy'.

I would have paid more for SCART leads than I did for my PVM-20L5 if I'd bought SCART cables.

>How'd you pull sync for that
Forgot to answer how I pulled sync.
I just wired straight to the bottom of the multi-AV connector. the 'S/12V' line in pic related is composite sync on NTSC systems and 12VDC on PAL ones. Since I'm NTSC I just get csync through there.

The Sega Genesis is a bit harder to pull a proper csync from; you need a buffer IC (or 74LS08/74HC08 with both inputs to a gate tied together and connected to sync) for it to work properly.

>Composite video is fine for sync usage
Was hanging out on #nesdev in IRC a few weeks ago and someone linked to this. Watch what happens when you have black to white flashes on the screen. Composite video rolls the screen back and forth slightly, which is unacceptable.

So... move the stand your BVM is on one or two inches away from the wall?

You mean DA15, right? The 'B' refers to a shell the size of a DB9 serial port (like what the VGA connector uses, but HD stands for 'high density').
