For my HUH map, I'm planning to include a section with a gap that the player cannot jump by normal means when they first encounter it - but on looping back around to it (this time guaranteeing they have a rocket launcher) they can rocketjump across the gap to progress.

Is it poor form to make a rocket jump mandatory for progression? I was planning to include messages broadcast to the player that explicitly clue them in to do this.

If even then this is seen as poor form (to mandate rocket jumping for progression instead of nifty secrets), I guess I could add a func_train they can activate the second time they come 'round, but that would be kinda boring.

What do you guys think?
