This isn't too difficult, but it's still excellent, near perfect 2D action with exploration.

It's very subtle, but yes there are some red dots of blood in the sprites, and they are obviously people who were killed. They're not taking a nap.
This doesn't mean a kid can't play or watch this though, but it's certainly not "babby". It's just a sci-fi action series that a 10 year old kid or a 50 year old man can have fun with.
