Yar, it's intentionall all right. Funny thing is those jumping puzzles are actually all straight lines. They LOOK like you have to do some crazy twists and turns and the game gives you the ability to twist and turn mid-air but only a straight jump is ever needed. And yet it fucks with players to this day, so many of whom claim the jumps as being impossible bullshit.

The possessed tribe village? Could you not find your way into the shrine, or something? All you have to do there is go back the way you came and go left-up when the road forks to the shrine past a swampy area. Give it another shot, it's a great game.

If you like the puzzles, and fucken oath you like the puzzles don't lie to me, you need to play Landstalker. Same creative team and important design guys did both games.

Landstalker. It has... well JRPG elements. Not the actual RPG elements from JRPGs but it has plenty of J.
